Mobile data — eSIM recommendation

All five countries are in the EU, so a single regional 'Europe' eSIM covers the whole trip. An eSIM is far cheaper than AT&T's or Verizon's international day passes. Install before you leave and activate on arrival; your phones must be eSIM-capable.

  1. 1Airalo

Best overall. Widest European coverage and a reliable, well-supported app; its regional plan ('Eurolink') covers all five countries. For 16 days of maps, messaging and browsing, a mid-size plan (about 10–20 GB) is sensible.

  2. 2Holafly

Best for unlimited data. Unlimited plans run about $3.90 per day (roughly $45–$55 for this trip).

  3. 3Nomad

Best for value. The lowest prices and easy mid-trip top-ups; speeds can be slightly slower.

Buy one eSIM per phone — an eSIM is tied to a single device. Pricing changes often; confirm on each provider's site before buying.
